In keeping with our commitment to supporting high-performing girls, and in recognition of the extraordinary potential of girls to succeed in STEM, particularly, girls who otherwise would not have an opportunity to receive a high-quality education, we have created the STEM Bridge Scholarship for Girls. This two-part program, comprising the Scholarship Award and Book Award, targets girls from disadvantaged backgrounds who exhibit strong academic potential and a keen passion for STEM.

Award Types
The scholarship award, runs on a 3-year cycle, It is catered to girls transitioning to senior secondary school, emphasising financial need and academic merit. It provides a renewable grant for SSS1 expenses and includes career support and mentorship, contingent on the student remaining in the science track.

Award Details
- The scholarship provides an initial financial grant to assist with SSS1 expenses, with renewal for two additional years. The grant amount is determined based on available funding, the student’s choice of school, and other relevant factors, ensuring tailored support for the recipient’s educational needs. This flexible approach allows for adjustments according to varying circumstances each year.
- The recipients will gain access to career support and mentorship from STEM Bridge
This award is contingent on the student remaining a “science student” as defined by the school
Eligibility Requirements
- Female students currently in Junior Secondary School (JSS3/Grade 9) who plan to enroll in Senior Secondary School (SSS1/Grade 10) in the upcoming school year.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
- Required to have a cumulative grade of at least 80% or its equivalent on another grading scale.
Selection Criteria
- Applications will be reviewed by independent reviewers who will be a part of a selection committee.
- Shortlisted applicants will participate in an interview with the STEM Bridge Team, accompanied by their parents or guardians.
- Scholarship award recipients will be selected based on financial need, leadership, community involvement and academic merit.
